2023 Free Summer Meal Programs

In a commendable effort to combat summer hunger, school districts in the Tri-Cities area are stepping forward to offer free lunch programs during the summer break. Recognizing the crucial role school meals play in the lives of many students, these districts are committed to ensuring that no child in their community goes without a nutritious meal when school is out.

The Tri-Cities school districts' free summer lunch programs provide a lifeline to children who rely on school meals as a primary source of nutrition during the academic year. With these programs, children aged 18 and under have access to a healthy and well-rounded meal at no cost, regardless of their family's income or circumstances.

Richland | Kennewick | Pasco

Richland

The Richland School District will be offering free summer meals for any child 18 years of age and younger. The Summer Food Service Program ensures students get the nutrition they need to learn, play, and grow throughout the summer.

Kids sit and eat the meals on-site during the times below. This is open to all kids, regardless of enrollment in the Richland School District.

Kennewick

Kennewick School District will be serving free meals to children from June 20 through July 13. All sites will be closed on July 4. 

Important Information:

• Meals are free to all summer school students and children in the community ages 18 and younger
• Meals must be consumed on site (grab-n-go meals are not available)
• Meals are only available during meal service hours
• Meals are for children only.

The Pasco School District is offering free food to families this summer through the Summer Food Service Program. Meals are available at no charge for children 18 years of age and younger.
