In my home, we have a "kindness chain"! Our kiddos earn a paper link to add to the chain each time we catch them doing something good and kind. When it reaches all the way from ceiling to floor they earn a previously agreed upon reward (a dollar store toy, a special treat, or a family outing to a fun place). We just finished our fourth chain and it has been so beneficial for us as parents to see the positive, as well as for our kids to be more excited to serve others!
