Richland Library Offers A FREE FAMILY Pass to Local Museums, State Parks, and Discovery Centers

What is calling your name this upcoming Summer vacation?

A waterfall, a beach, a pool, a museum, a library? How about a tumbleweed?! The Tumbleweed Tourist is a pass that can be used to reserve free family passes for any of these destinations. All you need is a library card to the Richland Public Library to use this government funded pass.

1. Obtain a library card at Richland Public Library. 

2. Visit https://www.myrichlandlibrary.org/

3. Hover your cursor over Tab "Using Your Library", then hover over "Experience Library" in the drop down menu. To the right you will be able to click on "Tumbleweed Tourist". 

4. Use the online reservation system to reserve a pass for your next adventure. Make sure you check the specific conditions for each place, as they do vary.

Choose your own adventure! Options offered are:

  • Reach Museum
  • Fort Walla Walla Museum
  • Check Out Washington Discover Pass for a week at a time for free access to Washington owned natural lands/parks and checkout an explorer backpack - which includes binoculars, a compass, and field guides. 
  • Mobius Discovery Center
  • George Prout Pool
  • CPCCo Planetarium
  • City of Richland Fitness Room
  • East Benton County History Museum
  • Franklin County Historical Society and Museum
  • Yakima Valley Museum
  • Various Museums in the Columbia River Gorge...Etc.
