9 kids - 4 moms. Pure delight, for parent and child alike. 90 minutes. And not the overstimulated kind of 90 minutes that a kid might get at most indoor playgrounds! This 90 minutes is a well-rounded type of play, that invites children to delve into their imaginations and truly discover their own adventures. We all wished it were longer! With a limit of 10 kids at a time, and a large spread out space, children felt like they had enough room to roam, and the noise was controlled - eliminating the factors that often lead to angst and conflict between children.
As shown, these kids decided to put on their own spontaneous parade!
One mom shared that she was ¨pleasantly surprised by their variety and that they had toys for babies¨. We had two babies with us and they were quite content. Ages recommended are 0-8, but they won´t turn away older siblings! Another mom pointed out that it is nice that they provide ¨hands-on, crafts, and building¨ in the back area.
Dino Discovery is now offering bonus free craft sessions on Mondays. Maker Mondays will be two sessions and have no additional cost. First session: 2:00-3:30, Second session: 4:00-5:30
Oh, and don't you go worrying about germs so much! There is a designated 30 minute cleaning time reserved between each play session to help sanitize toys and areas. The whole space was immaculate. There was even a basket for toys that went in babies´ mouths. Kids and adults also removed their shoes and had to wear socks when playing. Don´t forget your socks in this sandal weather! Spoken from the experienced parents! But socks are available for $3 a pair.
Speaking of babies, the kiddos were creative in the ways they cared for their toy babies (wheelbarrow for a stroller, anyone?) and their pets - making sure that they got x-rays and food, etc.
As we know, children love to act out different identities - Dino Discovery allows and invites this play with set ups and costumes for an impressive number of roles. My son was a farmer, a fire fighter, a police officer, a mailman, a grocer, and a race car driver during those 90 minutes. My daughter a veterinarian, a restaurant owner, a mother, and a horseback rider.
One mom said, ¨My kids love playing here! I tried to have them pick their top three activities and they could not because they loved everything! We have been two other times and noticed that each time they seem to add something new.¨
The height of the built structures is small enough to be exciting for children but large enough for parents to comfortably accompany their littles in their adventures. Be prepared! Your inner child will definitely want to come out!
Bathroom and handwashing is independent kid friendly!
